Going GREEN

UK soccer player Gary Neville is building an 8 million pound Eco-friendly house in Bolton countryside designed by Make Architects. Which is about 12,758,656.57 USD. Make Architects is a architectural practice based in the United Kingdom. The whole house will be built underground, and looks like a huge Hill. This house looks like something you would see in fictional movies like, Harry Potter. The house will have earth-based insulation, solar panels, and a wind turbine to generate juice. I think its cool that he wants to have an Eco-friendly house but its a lot of money and it looks a little weird.

US "BEE" Drive

A new make of the USB drive won won first prize in the Serbian "MS Industrial USB" design competition. This new design makes it easier for the user to use the USB. It has a holder for the cap of the USB (which is very hard to lose), it is flexible at the waist, it has a built in cooling feature, and the the whole design makes it easy to find in a bag. This new USB is very cool. I love the whole idea of it. If the price is right I will be online purchasing this device.

Package Designer...Maybe?

Hipstomp posted a blog on different beauty product designs. The blogger put together a small gallery of his favorite package designers and these images inspired me. They are beautiful! I thought, maybe I could be a package designer instead of a creative director. Or even be the creative director who looks over the designs of the package designer. The only issue here is I would probably have to move to Paris because many cosmetic companies, especially the one described here in this blog are not distributed in the United States.

Bitter-Sweet

Seth Golden posted a blog today called Jumping The Gun about Apple's very first tablet. It hasn't been released yet but I'm sure it will be very expensive when it is finally out in stores. I feel bitter sweet about the release because for Christmas my parents gave me the new Wacom Intuos 4 tablet. I'm in love with the tablet but I'm curious to see what the Apple tablet has to offer as opposed to the Wacom tablet.
